Strawberries on the road

Menocucho is a small town near to Trujillo, it's known for strawberries production. Some farmers sell this fruit on the road, people stop and buy fresh and cheap strawberries. One of these boxes (10Kg) is sold for 4.85 dollars.

je sais pas si c'est cher (car je n'en achete jamais, j'ai la chance de pouvoir en avoir par des amis), mais elles ont l'air apétissantes.

I do not know if it is expensive (because I never buy any, I am likely to be able to have some by friends), but they have the air appetizing

Wow, that is a lot of strawberries...here you can buy them on spring-summer time, but i think they're more expensive here! Think I should go to Trujillo for shopping next day ;)

Hi Giuce, They cost a little more than twice as much in the states when one buys them at the strawberry farm.

And of course, if one purchases them in the grocery store, they would cost about four to five times as much!

It took me a while to realise what the metal thing was, and then I realised it was a scale. These strawberries look very fresh and appetising!
