Trompo

Some kids still play with a trompo (a Trompo is a toy popular in Latin America much like a top), at the city kids prefers another kind of toys but it's good to see a Trompo Championships in the streets.
This boy is from Santa Rosa - Laredo, contry side of Trujillo.

Algunos chicos aún juegan con trompos, en la ciudad prefieren otro tipo de juguetes pero siempre es bueno ver una competencia en las calles.

The sound of tarolas and trumpets is everywhere, Marinera Festival start tomorrow but people are practicing this dance in a public way public since last week. In the pic, it's a tyipical hat for north marinera .

Lamps on tree

I saw a nice detail on a Christmas Tree, my favorite theme: lamps :)

Main Square Trujillo is the place of the " Christmas Lights Festival", some local enterprises participate with an original tree. I'll show you some of these trees on the next post.

This is a model of old Trujillo, surrounded by walls with four portals of entry, two of them still exist, including one keeps trees that give their welcome.
