Waiting for...

This little bird was standing in an old column, it was hurt, with the broken wing, a child wounded when he was testing the aim with a stone... she was waiting for, for starting the flight to its home or to eternity.

Esta avecita estaba parada en una vieja columna del muelle antiguo, ella tenía el ala rota, un niño la hirió cuando probaba punteria con una piedra... ella esperaba emprender vuelo hacia su hogar o hacia la eternidad.

Oh, that is so sad and unfortunate for this bird. I have to confess that I did something just like this when I was a boy. I used a slingshot and hit a bird with a stone, which surprised me as much as the bird! I hung around long enough to see the bird recover and fly off. Yet, whenever I think about it a pang of guilt arises.

Thanks for the link to your post about the gourd-birdhouse makers. Very interesting and artistic. I wonder if the ones in my blog are products of Peru.

Poor little bird. I hope it wasn't hurt anymore and eventually healed to fly away.

And thanks for introducing me to Ecoogler :)
