What really annoys me about my city

Sometimes people forget to keep the history of our city, many old colonial houses is being destroy or rebuilt without considering the old shape. Nobody say anything about this. For example in this pic, this old house was an restaurant now it's a barber and the window was destroyed to make a door... an ugly metal door.
Today, city bloggers around the world show the theme "what annoys you most in your city"... it's an oportunity to see one theme in many blogs ^^

The old song has it right - you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Trouble is, teh firm "Paving Paradise Contractors" is doing rather well, worldwide.

je suis d'accord avec toi, certaines villes ne respectent pas leurs passes. j'aime beaucoup ton theme

I agree with you, certain cities do not respect their master keys. I like much your topic

people usually want progress or new things but never cherish the past. :(

It's sad to see old charm is going and replaced.

Very sad. Sometimes owners know nothing about design and care nothing about how things look, only the function they want. I hope your city can work to protect the colonial treasures left. Great photo!

That's really sad, Giuce, like Ham has said.. algún ellos se echarán las manos a la cabeza viendo lo que han perdido...

Yes, this does not honor the past or the beauty of the architecture.

Agree! Even in a "young" city like mine, this sort of thing happens.

Such a beautiful yellow wall - I was wondering what you would be complaining about. OK, the door is badly arranged but it's work in progress so perhaps it will turn out good.

I LOVE the 2 feet in the air you can see inside!!!!
