Last night, I was invited by a group of families to see how they caught crabs, their schedules change depending on the fishing season, the moon calendar and tide. This time, the fishing trip began at 9pm and ended at 3 a.m. The good thing about this craft is that fishermen choose the largest crabs and the small one was returned to the sea.

This couple of artisans turn sea shells into decorative crafts, they get the shell from Mancora beach (1o hours to Trujillo). I think they're so patient to work with so many little pieces.

Trujillo has a rich archaeological legacy, some of them are better known than others. In Simbal, a district in the country side of Trujillo, we can find petroglyphs, with simple and complex lines on the rocks, no much people come to here, maybe they don't know about this petroglyphs but it's a challenge to get them because you have to cross a small river and climb up a steep hill, but all worth it.

Trujillo's Main Square is being restored, this ancient monument was being contaminated by fungi, and, as the stories of the people, the monument is sinking, I do not know if it'is true but it's good to see that it's being recovering, as well as a emblem of our city. This monument called "The Statue of Liberty," was designed by the German sculptor Edmundo Moeller, who recreated the action, depression and release of the humanity. You can see some details here.
La Plaza de Armas está siendo restaurado, este antiguo monumento estaba siendo contaminado por hongos; y, según las historias de la gente, el monumento se está hundiendo, no sé si es cierto pero es bueno ver que lo están recuperando, además por ser un emblema de nuestra ciudad. "Casona de Orbegoso" is a old historic house, here it was proclaimed the independence of Trujillo, just in the balcony from where I took this picture. Nowadays, the patio is protected for a better caring, but sometimes people organized diferent cultural shows here.

I was walking at the pier of Hunanchaco and a friend of mine told me "you have to take this picture, come here", so, I got surprise when I see this lonely crab. I wonder how it arrived there! 
This two little kids danced marinera in lovely way for the visit to the Peruvian Tourism Minister. Marinera always gives the welcome to the invited.

An important bank organized a competition about sand sculptures, many people was working for three hours for getting the best sculpture, I can't wait to finish but I liked this spider.
I saw this little girl so concentrated with her food, her feet were moving like she was dancing whith the flavours. 
At Book Festival of Trujillo you can find a "moche stand", which shows a girl whos is selling books of "El Brujo" y "Minka"... but this girl is dressed as "Lady of Cao" and shows her historic tatoos and people likes draw the designs on them.
...my husband presented his books at Book Festival of Trujillo, it was so amazing, for first time we got a project together.
Book Festival presented "Negrandina", a peruvian jazz group, it was a nice night with the music...
