I love Trujillo

I think I have more time now... so I'll try to share more images from Trujillo every day. Marinera Festival started and everybody say I love Trujillo like the t-shirts of this couple while they're dancing at the MArinera Marathon =)

Creo que ahora dispongo de un poco más de tiempo... así que trataré de compartir diariamente algunas imágenes de Trujillo. El FEstival de la Marinera comenzó y todo decimos Yo amo a Trujillo tal como lo dice el polo de esta pareja quienes bailan en la maratón de marinera.

This two little kids danced marinera in lovely way for the visit to the Peruvian Tourism Minister. Marinera always gives the welcome to the invited.

Fiesta Muchik again, ritual dances represented old peruvian people, also, traditional peruvian dances were showed, like our "marinera".

Dancing Schools in Pacasmayo walked in the streets showing their typical ddresses to the people, They celebrated the day of "Virgen de la Puerta" .

Marinera Festival started

The sound of tarolas and trumpets is everywhere, Marinera Festival start tomorrow but people are practicing this dance in a public way public since last week. In the pic, it's a tyipical hat for north marinera .

Ritual Fishing

Today, Huanchaco participated in the Muchik Party with the Ritual Fishing, about 50 fishermen danced with their "caballito de totora" , then they go to the sea to celebrate their work. Our "Marinera norteña" was listened to for everybody too. Hoy Huanchaco participó en la Fiesta Muchik con el Ritual de Pesca, alrededor de 50 pescadoress artesanales danzaron con su caballito de totora y luego se lanzaron al mar para festejar su faena. La marinera norteña infaltable también!.

Marinera week

I had some problems with my internet conection... but I´m here again.

This week has been very special for Trujillo, Marinera's Festival is the main reason for this, I saw the competition just one day. Today all Marinera Academys are going to walk for main streets of Trujillo.

Let's dance marinera

The practice for Intenational Marinera Festival finished yesterday. The real competition starts tomorrow and Trujillo sounds "marinera" everywhere. This pic show people practicing this dance, everybody dance whatever age... it's a moment very special.
